Funeral Services for Lana Hollingsworth

After being attacked by a bear and spending nearly 4 weeks in ICU where her nurses and doctors did the best that they could, she was called 'home'. Our dear friend Lana Hollingsworth passed from this life on Monday, July 25th, 2011. She was surrounded by those she loved at the time of her death.

Lana was loving, loyal, kind, supportive and a giver of service to her husband, family, friends and fellow men and women.

Lana's lifetime friend says, "My heart is broken tonight. I am having a hard time thinking about not having her to tlak to every day. She was my confidante, I will miss her immensely."

A viewing will be held on MondayAugust 1st at Bunker's Mortuary (University & Val Vista in Mesa) from 7-9PM

The Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday August 2nd, 2011 at the LDS Church at 1865 S. Higley Road at 10:00AM. (Vewing will be from 9:00-9:30 before the service)

Lana's friend and neighbor states "God bless each of you for your loving, generous spirit. Lana's example of unselfish generosity in doing anything for anyone was followed by so many wonderful friends and family... I am honored to be living amongst some of the most wonderful people I have ever met."

Lana, may you rest in peace and may God comfort the hearts of those who are grieving.

A special thank you to the MANY volunteers from Lana's church, neighborhood, restaurant owners and customers, to her family, volunteer groups and the friends she didn't even know she had for making this last weekend a huge success. Words can't describe the gratitude felt from everyone involved in making a difference in our "Love for Lana" benefit.

We had everything from all kinds of baked goodies to the glam station where you could get dolled up, her family of clown friends, chiropractic, dental work, raffles, crafts, massages, and MORE! Lana I am sure would be overwhelmed, as I, at the generosity of others! She truly has a network of love praying and doing what they can to help her through this tragic event. There were miracles that happened, generosity of angels and great friendships made, which is what Lana is all about!

Benefit/Charity Event for Lana

Please join us for a benefit for Lana Hollingsworth on July 8th and 9th.

The event will be at 3651 E. Baseline Rd. in Gilbert.(The corner of Val Vista Drive & Baseline.) 7AM-5PM both days.

Please join us for live music, car washes, booths, boutiques, massages, hair sytlists, dentists doing teeth whitening, eyelash extensions and MORE! All proceeds will go toward helping Lana and her family with this terrible tragedy.

Lana is one of the most selfless, service minded women you will ever meet and this is our chance to pay her back!

Lana Hollingsworth was attacked by a black bear while walking her dog in Pinetop AZ on June 28th, 2011. She is currently in critical condition at Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center and has gone through many hours of surgery.

Lana is a mother, friend, animal activist, and a Gilbert Fire Department volunteer. She lives her life to serve others. She spends countless hours helping families during times of tragedy. We hope you will join us in praying for her!
